Friday was the last day of summer for us and Christina, Aunt "Nina", spent it with us. She has taken care of Grant and Kate this summer on Tuesdays while I was teaching piano lessons. At some point during the summer Grant started calling her "Nina" and now both of them call her that. They always are excited when we go and pick her up and when they know she is going to stay with us. Often she would spend the night on Monday and they would be so excited when they woke up and saw her sleeping on the sofa.
It's been neat to see them grow closer to her over the summer and I know they will miss her now that school has started again!
On Sunday we took her and Daniel home after church. Kate was sound asleep when we dropped them off so she didn't get to say bye. When we came home and she woke up the first thing she said was, "Nina?" She was sad and a little confused as to where Nina went!
